Covina Surgery Center opened in 2008. It was opened to provide an alternative option for treating young children with severe dental fears, children who are uncooperative for traditional services, children who may need extensive treatment and patients with special needs in a safe environment.
Covina Surgery Center is certified by federal and state regulatory authorities to ensure patient safety and high-quality dental care. We are AAAHC accredited, which means our centers participate in ongoing evaluation, peer review, and education to continually improve and services. We also commit to a thorough, on-site survey every three years to ensure all operations achieve the high standards of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
While some private dental offices may offer IV sedation, oral sedation or nitrous oxide gas to settle children for dental procedures, our team believes treatment in the outpatient surgery environment is the best option. In our center, children are monitored continually by dedicated medical experts including anesthetists who monitor vital signs and status of children while they are being treated under general anesthesia. You can rest assured that your child is in great hands.
